What You’ll Do

This 12-month fixed-term opportunity offers meaningful hands-on experience, specialized training, and the opportunity to contribute to highly visible operational readiness work. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate logistics activities across WCMRC’s operating areas, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, transportation, inventory, and staging area support.
  • Work with operational teams to plan and deliver logistics programs that support spill preparedness and response readiness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with service providers, contractors, and external response resources.
  • Monitor service provider performance and maintain accurate contractor and logistics records.
  • Support improvements to procurement, warehousing, transportation, inventory control, and staging area practices.
  • Assist with area response planning by identifying, sourcing, and coordinating external resources, including support for service provider training.

What You Bring

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of business experience, preferably in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or stores/inventory operations.
  • Experience with logistics functions such as warehousing, inventory control, shipping, receiving, or transportation coordination.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn operational software and mobile applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and a dependable, collaborative approach.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s licence in good standing.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and availability.

Additional Assets

  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Endorsement 20 — Heavy Trailer.
  • Familiarity with marine, emergency response, industrial, or operational environments.
