We are recruiting for a Contractor Resource Supervisor to join our Response Readiness team, located at our corporate office in Burnaby, B.C.
The Contractor Resource Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of WCMRC’s Contractor Program. Job duties include developing, planning, training, organizing and controlling the activities of contractors participating in the program. This position will support both the operational and logistical functions in the organization, in both steady state and spill response activities.
To be successful in this role you will bring a minimum of three to five years of experience overseeing the activities of external contractors, along with a completion of an operations management or business-related post-secondary degree or diploma. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, work well under pressure, and be able to efficiently manage shifting priorities. In addition, strong analytical skills, contract negotiation experience, and working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, is required. Project management experience in a marine and/or construction work environment would be an asset.
